In 3 years and 3 months I will be the dreaded 3-0. I understand that 30 is far from old, and definitely not even halfway to the end of my life. However, there are so many things that I want to do in my lifetime. I know that if I don’t start being more proactive now I will die depressed, unfulfilled and full of regrets. Dramatic? Probably. But that’s how I roll.
While writing this list I realized I have accomplished a good number of things. Nothing big and impressive, but I feel that I have done my best to live my own life as uniquely as possible with the resources I have. But there is still a long way to go.
Many of the things on this list are currently in the works. Some are distant dreams. All are very important to me.
- Travel to New Zealand
- Relocate to the West Coast
- Sky dive
- Learn to swing dance
- Dye my hair very blonde
- Learn to sew and make my own clothes
- Become self employed
- Eat an entirely raw diet for 30 days
- Do 15 consecutive pull-ups
- Perform as an aerialist for pay
- Touch my butt to my head
- Get rid of my car and travel via bike
- Go to Burning Man
- Write a (short) novel
- Spend a week doing nothing but yoga and meditation
- Read some Ayn Rand
- Get a puppy
- Eat at Horizons
- Redesign my portfolio site
- Throw a party
- Visit and volunteer at the Watkins Glen Farm Sanctuary
- Write and mail a postsecret
- Race for the Cure
- Save 5k in a real savings account
- Create a painting
- Spend a day in the park barefoot.. by myself
- Write an e-book
- Sprout
- Swim with dolphins
- Hold a handstand for 1 minute.
Cool list! You’ve got me thinking about what to put on my own list…but as I’ll be turning 40 in less than two years, I’d better make it 40 Things To Do Before I Turn 40.
